Bruce T. Sackman 

 
Retired Federal law enforcement executive who is a nationally recognized authority on the investigation of medical serial killers. Over three decades of experience in employee misconduct, criminal fraud, and medical center-related homicide investigations. During his long career with the Office of Inspector General of the Department of Veterans Affairs, Mr. Sackman had oversight of five offices staffed with criminal investigators located throughout the northeastern United States. Responsible for all fraud and official misconduct investigations covering 295 veterans facilities affecting more than 50,000 VA employees, seven million veterans, and VA appropriations that totaled over $12 billion. Supervised homicide investigations involving medical serial killers throughout the U.S. Managed the office with most arrests, convictions, administrative actions, and dollar recoveries. Developed and implemented an anti-corruption initiative which resulted in numerous convictions of VA employees and contractors for bribery, false claims and mail fraud. Has lectured widely and written articles for professional journals. His investigations have been featured in print and television media.
